aoi - recording visit in VT

aoi - todo los santos - from fisound on Vimeo.

A little video taken from my phone while recording aoi in the living room this weekend.

The recording came out really well. Wide stereo spread, very clean transparent sound. Now all that is left is a little normalization, eq, and polish.

Rode NT5s, Apogee PREs and DAC.

Plate 1

Image of a cultivated Wild Flower:

Last year it was a single stem with a single ornate red flower.

This year it’s now turned into a chandelier of gorgeous red drooping flowers.  They look somewhat like a tiger lily, but not really…  Any guesses?

been away, back, busy

A lot has been going on lately.  I’ll update the site with some new recordings very soon.

Until then I’ll be as busy as my bees preparing for the fall:

The Yets - Living Room Recordings

Recorded the yets in the living room last weekend.  The stereo field came out really well.  We used two small condesor mics with a wide spread.  Mic preamps went into analog mixer with special buss analog delay for subtle reverb exaggeration.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

You can find out more about the yets and their music here:
